He has a special mis-fire system on there. . .

But that is quite ridiculous how fast it goes up the gears.

it doesn't take much for bikes to go really fast. My father's BMW R1200RT produces about 100 HP, and he reaches 80 MPH in no time. I'd imagine with a bit of tuning, he could get up in the 200 HP range as well.

Makes me wonder if they tinkered with the gearbox or if BMW designed it that way.

If so... :(

I wonder how long bike engines last. They rev so high and sound so nice! There has to be a longevity downside.

It's usually a 16K mile valve check/adjustment for most if not all bikes. Just make sure you buy one with an easily accessible engine.

I would like a bike, but my parents would murder me. I was thinking about getting a 150cc one just for fun though.

I went out and bought a 600 and rode it home without telling my parents when I got my first bike.

Pretty funny situation looking back at it.

Motorcycle engines do not leave a lot of room for performance upgrades.

I highly doubt with a "bit" of tuning you could get 200Hp from the flat twin in your dads bike. Most people see gains of like 10 HP with intake and exhaust work and a power commander or something similar.

The only cost effective performance mod on a bike is forced induction and even that is ridiculous.

I'm sure it has shorter gears in it, there is no way that it is just punching through a gear in under a second. That is just ludicrous speed right there. But then again out in the real world with wind pushing it back I'm sure it wouldn't be that fast, well that is all considering the front wheel doesn't decide to become the back wheel. . .

He's not running the full rev range in each gear - he's only covering the upper end, so it goes pretty quick. With gear changes that go so fast, he's not dropping a lot of revs inbetween.

did anyone else notice the part falling off the bike around 1:17?

The SKRR already produces 190ish HP.
